Care home project - Ashington

Full Circle Food Project - Ashington, received a grant from Pargiter Trust to work with people aged 65+ to tackle social isolation and loneliness. Blossoming Communities was asked to deliver  2 x 8 week blocks of wellbeing-based craft sessions  which would include a yummy afternoon tea made by Full Circle Food to go with it. The wellbeing themed craft sessions were based in Station Court Care Home and Woodhorn Park Care Home, both are Barchester Healthcare homes in Ashington.

We were supported by volunteers and the extra pairs of hands ensured the project was a big success. The residents and staff in both homes really enjoyed themselves.

We have had a busy couple of days from painting to crafting with Blossoming Communities . Residents painted their favourite pictures and then made cats in woolly jumpers.

Thank you ladies for coming along to our home and thanks to Full Circle for your continued support.
